For the most part of 2006 I was travelling within Asia, most of my time I spent backpacking in Thailand and returning to the USA in December 2006, it was the most amazing experience of my life (so far).  I returned directly to Hawaii and have since moved on to Las Vegas and I am now going to make that home base, its great to have family around for a change.  I would like to go back to Asia again this year for a vacation, $$$ permitting.

While in Asia I received my Reiki two attunement and certification, I also studied Asian Bio Energetics Therapy.  Applying both healing/therapy principals within poor villages in the northern part of Thailand during volunteer work for the New Life Foundation.

I am originally from New Zealand, but have been living in the States the last seven years - San Francisco, Las Vegas, Venice Beach & Hawaii.  I also lived in Guam in the late 80's early 90's.  I've traveled to Singapore, Japan, Laos, Thailand, Bali, England, Hawaii, New Zealand (obviously) & Guam (I think that's it)… for now at least, I love to travel and want to do more, I plan to go back to Thailand in October this year for the Phuket Vegetarian Festival again.  I generally travel alone, I've found I have a lot more fun, do things I would not normally do and meet so many more people.  Life's an adventure, but only if you make it so!

I'm easy going and completely stress free, I believe that the hard times mold us and the good times are just the icing on the cake (so to speak).  I believe in karma, what goes around comes around and life leads us to where we are supposed to be.  I would not be the person I am today if I had not been through the bad times and I appreciate them for what they are, a lesson!  You should never stop learning in your lifetime.

Through my various travels, some obviously to 3rd world countries, I have learnt to appreciate all that I have (and don't have).  Some of the sights I have seen, under privileged places I have volunteered for are an eye sight for any person.  Returning to the western world I do find a lot of people closed minded and blind to what goes on outside their home environment, the media just does not give it the justice as seeing it with your own eyes.  I have been to some really poor places and found the happiest people on earth, they hardly have anything, but not having known any different and not having felt obliged to adhere to society's demands and expectations, they truly live in their existence as if it were normal, and I can tell you, I found the lifestyle a lot more normal and content than anywhere I've been or lived in my life.  My experiences have changed me, for the better, my values and my morals I am proud of, but they only exist through compassion and understanding, through experience and gratitude for what other people have taught me and through what my eyes have shown me!
