ONLY FOR A SHORT TIME..

I ask not of you for a promise, no time to measure upon, not even tomorrow.  When the day dawns upon my pillow, I don't expect your eyes to follow.  My shadows there without a doubt, your role is not to fill that out.  Precious moments from time to time, some only for minutes, some right through the night.  As close as we feel within that instance, please remember we need our distance.  Absence blesses the time that I need; you see it's really my life, lived by me.  A path that is forever changing, some people pass through, some stay on forever.  I'm strong enough to stand on my own, your arms I welcome, but only to hold.  You've touched my life for a reason, but I know too well you can leave so easy.  I value all you have to say, but don't count on it being the last in my day.  I like to feel you by my side, but know by best friend resides inside - me.  Me, myself and I will be the only one's to end this dream.    As long as your presence sticks around, I know I'll always wear a smile for you that's true, but too for me, as my own happiness keeps me free.  If I cannot provide for you the love you seek to be true, tell it like it is my friend, for honest words earn respect in the end.  Were balanced, equal, side by side, two halves a whole, but not for all time.  You see I know that life goes by, but in the end only the soul will survive.  A single presence which attracts its path, like bringing you before me now.  The reasons could vary, I know this the case, but my thoughts will not linger, life shows me the way.  Learning and growing should always take place, if it's not forever, let time set the pace.  We cannot make no guarantees for emotions change just like the breeze.  As I do you, don't count on me, to be here through eternity.  Enjoy this time as long as we have for tomorrow could bring and end to that.  I'll dream of you right through the night, but realize tomorrow you could take flight.  We all have wings to fly away, of which could happen on any day.  If only for a short time, our paths do come together, more than any other thing, may friendship last forever.

This was so amazing we walked the closing procession for the Phuket Vegetarian Festival, about 3 miles, with this firecracker crazyness going on THE ENTIRE TIME NON STOP from beginning to end, we were running through the streets covered from head to toe to aviod getting burnt, AMAZING!
